SAMARAHAN: Fire yesterday destroyed 90 per cent of a house at Kampung Merdang Lumut.

According to the commander of the fire operation Commander, the single-storey semi-detached 48 x 36 house measuring was still burning when the firefighters arrived.

Nine Kota Samarahan firefighters led by senior fire officer Kam Liman used water from nearby fire hydrants to prevent the blaze from spreading.

The house tenants —two women and a man — were not at home when the fire happened.

The firefighters managed to prevent the fire from gutting a Perodua Kancil parked in front of the house.

Senior Officers present at the scene were Mashidi Taha, Suku Lajung and Fredrick Aok.
