DEBAK: Saribas assemblyman Mohammad Razi Sitam and the Debak District Council (MDB) conducted a site visit to the Debak Terminal Hawker Stalls on Wednesday (July 20).

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), the visit was to discuss the Saribas constituency’s Rural Transformation Project (RTP) for 2022, which is to upgrade the Debak Terminal Hawker Stalls.

The RTP was implemented following complaints from hawkers who faced difficulties in doing business during the rainy season which resulted in the items sold having to be moved to safer areas.

Among the scopes of the project’s upgrade is to install a roof in the stalls area to ensure the comfort of the hawkers when running their business.

The estimated cost of the project is RM480,000 for the two stalls opposite Debak town.
