TEBEDU: The Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR) has disbursed RM1.28 million to six churches in villages within the state constituency.

The presentation, officiated by local elected representative Dr Simon Sinang Bada, took place at the Tebedu Service Centre recently.

The churches receiving funds are St. Andrew’s in Kampung Daha Kisau, Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) in Kuhum Mandeg, St. Mathew’s in Entubuh, SDA in Sejijak Mawang, St. Bartholomew’s in Bantang, and St. Aiden’s in Mawang Tahup.

During his address at the ceremony, Dr Simon emphasised the importance of prudent utilisation of the funds by village heads and church leaders to ensure seamless implementation of forthcoming projects.

“It is crucial to submit project reports promptly to the UNIFOR office and provide copies to the Service Centre for future reference and documentation in case of any eventualities,” he said.

In addition, an incentive cheque was awarded to Alvina Fiona Romey for her outstanding achievement of 9As in the 2023 Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) examination.
