KUCHING: This year’s Bintang Kecil Sarawak Zone will be held at Auditorium P. Ramlee RTM, here, on August 4 .at 8.30pm.
The 90-minute programme will see six finalists competing to determine the top three who will move on to represent the state on the national level.
This year’s finalists are Nor Mohamed Muzaid from SK Spaoh, Puteri Nurnasuha Yahya from SK Bandar Baru Samariang, Syayid Afi Jamin from SK Muara Tebas, Mayshelly Dviveoly Markury from SK Batu Danau, Eva Chung Jie from SJK Sam Hap Hin, and Nurul Ain Nabila Abdul Latip from SK Encik Buyong.
This was revealed by Assistant Director of News and Current Affairs, Marrill Chunggat, at a press conference at RTM here yesterday.
“119 participants around the state have auditioned for this year’s Bintang Kecil.
“The final evaluation was held on June 21 to choose the six finalists who will move forward,” he said.
The top three winners will each receive RM2,000 while the remaining three will each receive RM1,000; each will receive a trophy and a certificate of participation.
Invited guests performing that night will be former Bintang Kecil finalist, Camaiellya Edward and local singer and songwriter, Asad Motawh.
The guest of honour will be Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, who will be representing the Chief Minister.
The programme will be broadcast live through SARAWAKfm and online at www.rtmsarawak.gov.my/SARAWAKfm and also on TV. Further details will be confirmed at a later date.
