KUCHING: Six finalists will compete to determine the top two who will move on to represent the state at the national level Bintang Kecil competition.
This year’s Bintang Kecil Sarawak Zone will be held at Auditorium P. Ramlee RTM, here, on Sept 10 at 9pm.
“This year’s finalists are Elle Precious Arnold from SK St. Michael, Nur Aisyah Sawali from SK Muara Tebas, Albee Lim Xin Yu from SJK Chung Hua, No.5 Kuching,Nur Qasih Umairah from SK Sentosa, Syarif Zakwan Suhardi from SK Green Road and Fadzirl Nuzul Mahriez Mahathir from SK Gersik.
“Through this kind of competition, we can promote national culture through singing in the National Language,” said Saiful Arini, Assistant Director of the TV Section during a press conference held at the Harbor View Hotel today.
“The zone-level competition for the Peninsular Zone will be held on Oct 22, Sabah Zone on Sept 10 and Sarawak Zone on Sept 10.
The top two winners will each receive RM2,000 while the remaining four will each receive RM1,000 besides a trophy and a certificates of participation.
Invited guests performing that night will be former Bintang Kecil finalist, Shila Hamzah and Harris Mukhriz.
The programme will be broadcast live through SarawakFM and online at Live FB RTM Sarawak.
Also present at the press conference were Sharizan Amat, Harbour View Hotel Sales and Marketing Manager, Yap Yen, Head of the Entertainment and Music Unit, Mohd Redza Razali, Producer of Bintang Kecil 2022 and Erma Kartika Zaini, Station Manager of RTM Sri Aman.
