SRI AMAN: A 6-feet slithering reptile was caught hiding inside a chicken coop at Kampung Muhhibbah here yesterday at 9.02am yesterday.
The district’s Civil Defence Force (APM) was alerted and a team of personnel was deployed to the location.
According to APM officer, Siti Huzaimah Ibrahim, upon arrival they were informed by the occupants of the house that a cobra was in the chicken coop.
She said using special equipment they took about 17 minutes to remove the cobra from the coop.
Siti also urged members of the public who find dangerous animals or reptiles at their residence to contact APM at 083-320973 for assistance.
“Those who require emergency assistance can also contact us,” she added.
