KUCHING: Sarawak recorded six new Covid-19 fatalities on Wednesday (June 16), bringing the state’s death toll to 364.
Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement disclosed that four deaths were recorded in Kuching and one each in Mukah and Bau.
The 359th death was a 68-year-old local man from Kuching district. He was confirmed Covid-19 positive on June 13.
The 360th death was a 45-year-old local man also from Kuching district, who was confirmed Covid-19 positive on June 14.
He had comorbid of high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and dyslipidemia.
Meanwhile, the 361st death was a 59-year-old local man from Mukah district. He was confirmed Covid-19 positive on June 14.
The 362nd death was a 50-year-old man from Kuching who tested Covid-19 positive on May 27.
The 363rd death was a 73-year-old local man who tested Covid-19 positive on June 6.
The victim was from Kuching district as well and he had comorbid of high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, dyslipidemia and kidney disease.
The 364th death was a 76-year-old man from Bau district who was tested Covid-19 positive on June 14.
The committee extended its condolences to the family members of the victims.
