KUCHING: Six new locations will undergo enhanced movement control order (EMCO), says the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).

The workers quarters at Camp Power Bright, KTS Timber and Rh Amin Batot, Sungai Kelawit, both in Tatau, are under EMCO from June 30 until July 13.

SDMC added: “In Saratok, Rh Malai at Emplaie Ili, Rh Mang at Sungai Wong in Roban and Rh Changgie at Sungai Brayang, also in Roban, the EMCO will start from July 1 until 14.”

“As for Rh Ngelau, Sungai Stok in Sarikei, the EMCO will be enforced from July 1 until 17.”

Meanwhile, SDMC said EMCO, from July 3 until 16, would be extended in nine locations at Sungai Ressau, Batang Igan in the Matu area.

The locations are Rh Salim Unang, Rh Judy Kudi, Rh Mathew Merang, Rh Daggang Ujang, Rh Lait Ijang, Rh Chandi Kilau, Rh Putit Jugah, Rh Sadin Jeli, and Rh Mador Rendah.

On another note, EMCO have ended in seven locations.

“Movement restrictions ended on June 29 at Rh Ulen Segaya, Nanga Tekalit in Tatau, a rental house near MDS Mart Samalaju and Rich Drive workers quarters in Bintulu.

“EMCO also ended at Rh Linggang, Sungai Rayah and Rh Lium, Skim B both in Bintangor, Meradong, Rh Jalang, Nanga Bayu at Ulu Entaba in Julau and Kampung Serikin in Bau, on June 30.”
