KUCHING: It was work as usual for the Anti-Vice, Gaming and Gangsterism Unit despite the movement control order (MCO).
State CID chief SAC Denis Leong said six individuals including two females engaging in illegal online gaming activities were caught by surprise during a raid at City Square here on Saturday night.
“Gamblers should know that police do not let their guard down when it comes to crime.
“Donning their masks and gloves, they continue to battle against the Covid-19 virus and illegal gaming,” he said in a statement.
The suspects, aged between 19 and 25 years, were arrested under the Common Gambling Houses Act and the Prevention And Control Of Infectious Diseases Regulations.
