KUCHING: Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii Lee Wuen has contributed RM94,936 to SK Catholic English to upgrade furniture in its staff rooms and classrooms.
The school’s desks and chairs are currently worn out and damaged, which is impacting both teaching and learning experiences for teachers and students.
“At the request of the school, my office allocated funds to buy new desks and chairs to replace the existing dilapidated furniture.
“I hope that this upgrade will create a more comfortable and modern learning environment,” he said in a Facebook post.
Dr Yii pointed out that the purchase of new desks and chairs is not only an improvement in material facilities but also part of the school’s ongoing efforts to provide high-quality education.
He added that enhancing the school’s infrastructure would foster a welcoming and efficient learning space for students while supporting teachers in their roles.
