MUKAH: SK Kampung Pawai has successfully organised the Excellence Students Appreciation Awards ceremony at Astaka Safiee SK Kampung Pawai on Feb 16 this year.
The ceremony was held to celebrate year six students who had finished their studies, alongside pre-school students who will enrol in year one and academic achievement of students from year one to year six.
Headmaster, Ian Felix Arip said that the ceremony was attended by Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad, who also officiated at the opening of the new pavilion at SK Kampung Sawai, that was named Astaka Safiee for his contribution to the school.
Speaking during the ceremony, Safiee stated that the children’s education should be emphasised in order to produce great and perfect human assets.
He added that the parents needed to stress on the importance of education among children in order for them to not lag behind in their studies.
Meanwhile Ian stated that the ceremony was significant to the year six students because it was celebrated with full of merriment with the presence of Safiee and parents of the students.
He also advised the students who will enrol in secondary school to be good and do good wherever they are.
A total of 12 year six students had successfully graduated and the certificates were presented by Safiee, Ian, PPD representative, chairman of the Parents-Teachers Association (PIBG) alongside director of Primula Gemilang.
Ian expressed his thanks to Safiee for his willingness to officiate at the ceremony and the pavilion.
