KOTA SAMARAHAN: Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Pengkalan Kuap will be opened in the upcoming academic session.
In a news report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS), Stakan assemblyman Datuk Hamzah Brahim said the school has about 20 teaching staff and noted that the constituency is in dire need of a new learning institution.
“The Stakan constituency has a high population and is in dire need of a new school.
“So far, there are nine primary schools and three secondary schools in the constituency,” he said when visiting the school, recently.
He then called for cooperation and support from both teachers and parents in nurturing the children. “To meet the current education system, teachers and parents play a vital role in developing them, both at school and home,” he said.
