The water levels at Sekolah Kebangsaan Selangau being reportedly as high as the school’s roof on Wednesday. Selangau is located approximately 74km from Sibu town.

SELANGAU: Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Selangau recorded the worst floods ever happened in the school as the floods reported to be at the school’s roof level on Wednesday.

The water levels rose too fast as the school was located near the river and this has caused the school to be closed due to pupils safety while dormitory students were asked to go back home.

According to a source, previously SK Selangau has experienced floods with the water level at waist, but this time was the worst ever happened in the school.

Meanwhile, some villagers recommended the school to be moved to a safer or higher place to avoid the same incident to be occurred.
