BINTULU: The Sarawak government, through the Unit for Other Religions Affairs (UNIFOR), recently handed over a cheque of RM250,000 to the management committee of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) St. Anthony here.
The cheque was presented by Tanjong Batu assemblyman, Johnny Pang Leong Ming, to the chairman of the school’s management committee, Fr. Lee Yun Ming.
According to Pang, the allocation of these funds is intended to ensure that the students at the school can experience a more conducive and comfortable learning and teaching environment.
The planned works include replacing wooden ceilings, constructing drainage ditches, rewiring the lighting system, and repairing water leaks.
Additionally, the existing floor with six underground classrooms will be renovated with new porcelain bricks to ensure the classrooms are more comfortable and safe.
At the same time, he also took the opportunity to inspect the progress of the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) at the entrance of the school.
