KUCHING: Two final-year students of Sarawak Skills Development Centre (SSDC) recently assisted a local entrepreneur to transform her business.

The students of the Skills Diploma in Information System Administration Programme (DKML4) — Victoria Shanon Robert and Vanessa Menang — funded their final-year project using their own savings.

The students assisted entrepreneur, Bunga Langgang to identify a strategic location for her new chicken rice stall in Tabuan Jaya and to also promote the product.

According to the students, “We took part-time jobs during semester break and on weekends in order to come up with funds for our project.”

They carried on, “If there were extra savings, we plan to set up another stall or branches for aunty Bunga and maybe another stall of our own as well.”

Bunga previously operated a chicken rice stall at Kpg Stutong but the business did not go well. However, the selling has been brisk at the new location.

“I am thankful to the students; their project has helped to improve my income to support my family. They have covered the initial cost for me and witnessed my business progress,” said Bunga.
