The animal was a slow loris, a creature protected under the Wildlife Protection Ordinance 1998.

Firefighters from Tabuan Jaya fire station were deployed to the scene after receiving a special service call around 6.40pm last Sunday (Jan 31).

Upon arrival, the team took no further action but only observed the situation as the animal is still alive and was not a threat any of the nearby residents.

The animal was just relaxing and using its legs to grip on to the cable.

After informing bystanders that the animal was safe and harmless, the team returned to their station.
