MIRI: Small business entrepreneurs have been told to adapt to the latest marketing trends for them to stay competitive and continue growing in the post COVID-19 era.

Deputy Minister of Youth, Sport and Entrepreneur Development II (Entrepreneur Development) Dr Ripin Lamat said like their bigtime counterparts, small business entrepreneurs also faced serious problems during the pandemic.

“The majority of our entrepreneurs have been negatively impacted by the shockwaves of the crisis, but I hope it would not dampen their enthusiasm,” he said when officiating at the closing of the Micro Connector 2021 programme and the opening of Bakepreneur Champion 2022 yesterday here.

Ripin said the COVID-19 pandemic had rapidly transformed the business landscape globally, and Sarawak was not excluded, paving ways for new technologies and evolving customer demands.

“Keep up-to-date on all the cutting edge developments in the industry and be creative in your product marketing,” he added.

A total of 80 participants from B40 category took part in the two programmes.
