KUCHING: Twelve alumni of SMK Sacred Heart’s class of 1963 reunited after 60 years at a special gathering hosted by alumnus and chief executive of Yayasan Perpaduan Sarawak (YPS) Datuk Aloysius J. Dris, at his residence here yesterday (April 6).
The reunion brought together former classmates who were once close friends and gave them the opportunity to catch up on old times.
Those residing in Melbourne, Sydney, and Adelaide in Australia also flew back to Kuching to join their former classmates currently living in Kuching and Sibu.
Dris said the gathering was not only about reuniting a long-lost friendship but also strengthening the bond and spirit of fellowship among former classmates.
“The special reunion brings together our close friends to continue to foster the spirit of friendship and bonding among our classmates, especially those who reside overseas.
“It is also about keeping each other updated with their respective activities while sharing memories of the good old days, way back in the early 1960s,” he said.
The gathering also took its one-minute silence to remember their classmates who had passed away.
