MUKAH: SMK St Patrick dominated the Mukah Division Secondary Schools Sports Council (MSSB) 2024 Badminton Championship held at the KPSU Indoor Hall recently.
Their players bagged six gold, two silver and one bronze.
Chief coach Ismandi Dillah said the achievement exceeded their target.
“Gold was won by the boys singles (A) under 15 (U15), boys singles under 18 (U18), girls singles U18, boys doubles (A) U15, girls doubles (A) U15, and girls doubles U18.
“Meanwhile, the bronze was won by boys doubles (B) U15 and boys singles (B) U15. Furthermore, the bronze was won by girls doubles (B) U15.”
The students who bagged gold in boys singles U18 was Daryll Daniel Simon, while Ayden Izael Kong Pang Zheng won the boys singles (A) U15, and Audrelia Tyra Lawan, the girls singles U18.
“For boys doubles (A) U15, the winners were Ayden Izael Kong Pang Zheng and Accril Aosfer Wong, girls doubles (A) U15 was won by Audryna Minda Lawan and Audryna Mayang Lawan, and girls doubles U18 (A) was won by Audrelia Tyra Lawan and Carol Genevieve.
“Silver medals were won by boys singles (B) U15 Accril Aosfer Wong, girls singles (A) U15 Audryna Minda Lawan, and boys doubles (B) U15 Torres Immanuel Domini and Herrrens Kiew Xuan Yii.
“Meanwhile, the bronze was won by girls doubles 15 (B) U15 Cherry Queen Hillary and Joanne Jerome.”
Also present was SMK St Patrick badminton team coach Mohamad Azri Hassan.
