SIBU: SMK Tiong Hin won the Sibu District Inter-Secondary School Choral Speaking Competition here on Monday with its presentation entitled “You Say You Know Me”.
Second was SMK Bandar Sibu with its topic “Hashtag: Inspiring Tomorrow” while SMK Bukit Lima came third with its presentation entitled “The Big Apple Dream”.
Nurfaizatul Nazira Jamil was announced as the best conductor of the competition.
A total of nine secondary schools took part in the competition.
In his closing remarks, an officer from the Academic Unit of the Sibu District Education Office, Goh Yee Chung, who represented the Sibu District Education Officer, hoped that in the future more schools would participate in the contest.
He said only nine schools out of the 22 secondary schools here joined the contest.
The contest, among others, aimed to enhance the educational activities of Kelab Nuri members, encourage and improve the confidence of students as well as create fun learning activities for them.
