MUKAH: The early voting process in Mukah for the 15th general election (GE15) went smoothly today (Nov 15).
Mukah district police chief DSP Muhamad Rizal Alias said the early voting process involving 202 voters was held at the Mukah Police Headquarters Multipurpose Hall.
He was also the first individual to cast his vote for the Mukah parliamentary constituency.
“The early voting process for Mukah today involved 202 voters from Dalat, Tellian and Balingian.
“The voting process started at 8am and is expected to end at 5pm today, all police personnel from Mukah that have registered are all encouraged to come early to vote,” he said.
He said this to reporters at the Mukah Police Headquarters Multipurpose Hall here today.
Rizal also hoped that voters registered in Mukah would come to vote and ensure a 100 per cent voter turnout.
He also assured that the security of the area was being taken care of during the voting process.
Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) Mukah candidate, Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib was present at the voting station to monitor the voting process.
