MUKAH: Everything went smoothly during the full rehearsal for the state-level National Day Celebration 2023.
Minister of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development, Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah, who is the Minister in charge of the event, was present at the rehearsal today (Aug 29).
Others who attended include Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine, Sarawak Protocol, Ceremonial, and Event Management Unit director Datuk Mohamad Junaidi Mohidin, Mukah Division Resident Kueh Lei Poh, and deputy resident Shafrie Saili.
The National Day celebration will take place on August 31 at Dewan Politeknik Mukah is expected to be graced by acting Head of State Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar.
Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg is also expected to attend.
This year’s National Day celebration will also feature other programmes such as the Ambang Merdeka on Aug 30, Unity Ride and Walk on Aug 31 starting at 7 am, both of which will take place at Dataran Pehin Setia Raja while the Unity Talk and Townhall will be held on the same day at Dewan Centexs at 2 pm.
