MUKAH: Sarawak federal secretary Datuk Amir Omar has commended the local Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) for managing the inoculation process at Dewan Suarah Mesra vaccination centre (PPV) here satisfactorily.

Amir, who was on a working visit to this district today (July 1), said he came over to see for himself the situation here, in terms of the immunisation process and other related matters.

His visit to Mukah was the first since he assumed the post earlier this year. He had conducted similar visits to PPVs in Serian and Sarikei.

“This is to ensure that the administration of Covid-19 vaccine will benefit the people in line with the government’s target to complete the immunisation process by August this year,” he said after visiting the centre here.

Meanwhile, Mukah Division health officer Dr Huzaimah Husin said a total of 680 people received their vaccine jabs at the centre on Thursday.
