SARATOK: Civil Defence Force (APM) personnel here had to resort to flipping furniture in a house to locate and catch a three-feet-long cobra today.

A spokesman for APM Saratok said they received a distress call at 11.19 am regarding the slithery reptile, and dispatched a team to Kampung Tanjung Saratok, Jalan Haji Puteh.

Upon arrival, the team faced the challenge of locating the cobra, which prompted  them to flip the sofas in the living room.

Once the position of the reptile was identified, a snake thong was used to capture it.

The cobra was released into its original habitat, safely away from the village.
