KUCHING: Julau MP Datuk Larry Sng most probably will not be fielded by Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) in the upcoming general election (GE15).
The party’s president-designate Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin said this was due to the absence of Barisan Nasional (BN) parties in Sarawak. PBM had previously applied to join BN in July ahead of the upcoming general election.
“No… we will not do that because I said earlier here (Sarawak) there is no BN,” she said when asked by reporters whether PBM candidates will contest in Sarawak for GE15.
She was met by reporters after officiating the SaraSpice Company Relaunch Ceremony at the SaraSpice headquarters in Icom Square, here, today.
Commenting on progress of PBM’s application to join BN, Zuraida said the application is still being processed.
“The application was submitted, they (BN) are in the evaluation process right now, we are closely following the current developments of what is happening.
“Of course, we will look at things that is important the party,” she said adding that PBM has remained with its decision to join BN.
