BINTULU: The Bintulu Security Organisation (SOCSO) together with members of the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Bintulu Branch recently visited the recipients of the SOCSO benefits to hand over the funeral management benefits (FPM).

The first beneficiary visited was the mother of the insured (OB), the late Lee Guang Kiong.

According to SOCSO Bintulu Office manager, Jimmy Hendrick Kijon, the late Lee was a SOCSO Invalidity Pension recipient since 2021 who died last Feb 9 due to severe sepsis with multi-organ failure.

As such, he said, the deceased’s mother was eligible to receive a lifetime Survivor’s Pension and FPM payment because the deceased was still single.

The second beneficiary visited was the mother of the late Clement Maling, a 51-year-old security guard and still single.

Clement died last Feb 13 due to decompensated heart failure. Therefore, his mother is eligible to receive the Survivors Pension and FPM.

Also participating in the visit were SIP Bintulu Branch Head, Ann Faustina Rijed; SOCSO Bintulu executive officer, Lydia Rosely; SUPP Bintulu Branch deputy chairman, Siew Chiew Chuong; SUPP Bintulu Branch secretary, Peter Hii S.H; and SUPP Bintulu Branch executive secretary Toh Kok Peng.
