Concerns grow for Suhajda Szilard, a lone adventurer from Hungary, as he remains unaccounted for since Wednesday while attempting a solo ascent of the world’s tallest peak.

Szilard embarked on the daunting challenge without the aid of supplemental oxygen or the support of Sherpa guides.

His last known whereabouts were traced to the treacherous Hillary Step at an elevation of 8,700 metres, according to GPS signals.
