BETONG: Full rehearsal went smoothly today (Oct 7) for the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Special Convention for Betong Zone which is set to take place at Tan Sri Stephen Kalong Ningkan Sports Hall on tomorrow (Oct 8).
Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, who is also the convention’s organising chairman was present to inspect the final preparation.
The hall was adorned with PBB flags and banners, ready to welcome about 1,500 members from 14 branches namely Sebuyau, Lingga, Beting Maro, Balai Ringin, Bukit Begunan, Simunjan, Engkelili, Batang Ai, Saribas, Layar, Bukit Saban, Kalaka, Krian dan Kabong who are expected to attend the convention.
Minister of Utility and Telecommunication, who is also one of PBB’s vice president Datuk Julaihi Narawi will present the resolution and will be supported by Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Datuk Gerald Rentap Jabu.
Premier and PBB president Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg is set to officiate at the convention and deliver his keynote address.
