KUCHING: Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) president Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh said he would never call the Dayaks stupid.
Wong said this in a statement yesterday in response to a news portal which used the headline, “Wong Soon Koh: Dayaks are stupid with low IQ and easy to be manipulated” which went viral on social media.
“Someone is just playing dirty politics to destroy my reputation,” he said.
The news portal administrators, however, insisted that they did not carry a report with such heading.
He said PSB subscribed to the idea of building a progressive, stable and harmonious society based on equality, justice and mutual respect.
“We are one Sarawakian community. No racial group should feel any sense of loss or deprivation or feel being discriminated against by any other community,” he said.
He added that PSB was always committed to the perpetuation of a multi-racial, multi-cultural and multi-religious society with a Sarawak identity and ideology.
