KAPIT: Katibas assemblyman Datuk Ambrose Blikau Enturan paid a visit to the Kapit District Council’s proposed new market and riverfront site recently.
The RM4 million project for Song district was announced by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg during his visit here on July 28.
The Chief Minister also approved an allocation for the construction of the proposed new Kapit market with a scheme value of RM5 mln.
Accompanying Ambrose to the site were council secretary Jabang Juntan, councillors, senior staff and representatives from BL Consultants and the Public Works Department.
The site is located along the riverbank, from the existing concrete ramp next to the council’s JPM market right to the estuary of the Katibas river.
Ambrose and his entourage also visited the Song Water Front Project Phase II and Phase III that are still under construction.
The RM4 mln project will be a new landmark for Song district upon completion.
Phase II is expected to be completed within 12 months (Oct 31) while Phase III is expected to be completed in 15 months (Jan 30, 2020).
