KUCHING: Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) received 178 food baskets donated by Serba Dinamik Sdn Bhd Kuching Branch today (June 25).

Serba Dinamik Sdn Bhd Kuching branch group manager Muliawadi Imran said aside from MPKS, his Care Team had also donated to other associations to ease their burdens.

“During the Ramadan month, we also donated to Rumah Seri Kenangan (RSK) Kuching old folks’ home and Kompleks Kebajikan Laila Taib.

“We also donated to our staff members who were made victims of the floods in Kuching and Kota Samarahan,” he added.

He further mentioned that this is the second time that the Care Team in his branch had donated to MPKS since the first movement control order (MCO).

“Today’s donation consists of both wet and dry food such as chicken, eggs, rice, cooking oil and many more to be given to permanent and contract workers of MPKS, and the counsellors,” he said.

Muliawadi also said that each of the Serba Dinamik Branch has its own Care Team to carry out corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities from time to time.

MPKS chairman Datuk Peter Minos said he is grateful for the donations given.

“Serba Dinamik’s caring and concerned gestures are very much appreciated, especially during this hard time.

“In fact, anyone or any groups who are willing to lend a helping hand to fellow Malaysians are to be applauded for their efforts.

“I hope more private sectors would come forward and help the government and others during this vaccination phase by giving any aid and support that is needed.

“Agencies such as Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) and private sectors such as The Spring are exemplary for cooperating and stretching a helping hand to the government and the society.

“This truly shows the good old Sarawak ppirit of unity and helping one another,” he said.
