MIRI: Close to 30 members of the Northern Sarawak Journalists Association (NSJA) enjoyed a special luncheon hosted by Sarawak Oil Palms Berhad (SOP) on Friday afternoon at the scenic Tanjong Lobang Beach.
The event, held to recognise the contributions of NSJA members, featured a two-hour programme packed with activities.
SOP’s senior public relations officer, Agnes Nyelang, was in attendance, alongside NSJA president Chai Chon Chin, solidifying the ongoing collaboration between SOP and the association.
Highlights of the luncheon included a lucky draw that kept attendees entertained, as well as a prize presentation for winners of SOP’s recent essay writing competition.
The event served as a relaxed, yet meaningful platform for SOP to express its appreciation for the local journalism community, celebrating their work and dedication in covering key stories in Sarawak.
The afternoon concluded with NSJA members expressing gratitude for the continued support and recognition from SOP, marking yet another positive interaction between the corporate and media sectors in Northern Sarawak.
