MIRI: Riam Road Ghee San Cemetery Committee is now serious about getting its members to comply with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) aimed at curbing the Covid-19 virus.

This followed a meeting over a week ago with two doctors and a chief health inspector.

Transport Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin who arranged the meeting said he was pleased to see that the committee has responded well to the input of the health experts.

On Sunday (March 28) the committee submitted to him many photographs of MySejahtera placards displayed around their cemetery.

“Big banners displaying the SOPs are prominently displayed at the cemetery entrances, and two Rela personnel were also employed to ensure compliance,” he said.

Lee also showed the photographs this day morning to Divisional Health Officer Dr P Raviwharmman and Miri Hospital director Dr Jack Wong when they met at Dato Permaisuri Multipurpose Hall which has been turned into a vaccination Centre.

“They were very pleased and impressed with the effort and cooperation of the cemetery committee,” he said.
