KUCHING: The state government has been asked to publish the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the state’s conditional movement control order (CMCO) in three languages — Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin.
In recommending this, the Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers’ Association (Sheda) said this was to ensure the SOPs could be properly understood by everybody.
Currently, the SOPs are all in Bahasa Malaysia, Sheda said in a press statement issued yesterday to express its support for the CMCO implemented by the state government.
At the same time, due to the encompassing nature of the development industry which engages more than 100 professions, trades and artisans, it suggested that the opening up after the CMCO should be applied to all other relevant trades within a reasonable time frame.
This was crucial, failing which the supply chains and disruption to the workflow might be impeded, rendering the process inefficacious, it said.
