KUCHING: The Sarawak government and South Korea have discussed on partnership in the field of renewable energy.
According to the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Malaysia Yeo Seung-Bae, the partnership includes hydrogen projects as well as carbon sector storage projects and others.
“I am confident with it because Sarawak has many benefits and advantages, then we want the advantages of Sarawak combined with the advantages of South Korea.
“(South) Korea is a leading country in innovation and technology that can benefit the country itself and Sarawak.
“Therefore, I am very positive about the future journey of both parties,” he said.
He said this when met by the media after paying a courtesy call on Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Wisma Bapa Malaysia here today.
Also present during the courtesy call were Commercial Attaché Republic of Korea Embassy Lim Chaeuk, First Secretary of the Republic of Korea Embassy Yoo Jihan, Second Secretary of the Republic of Korea Embassy Shin Hyeongu, director general of KOTRA Lee Sung Gi, chief global officer of K-WATER Kwon Ki Dong and director Korea Environment Corporation Affairs An Sung Jun.
