KUCHING: Sarawak’s e-wallet application, SPayGlobal, is expected to resume its service by today.
A statement posted on its Facebook page today, has apologised to all SPayGlobal users and merchants for the inconvenience caused.
“The resumption of SPayGlobal service at our secondary server site is in progress. We aim to resume service by today. Your patience and understanding is much appreciated,” it said.
However, it did not confirm if the service interruption, affecting most of its merchants and users since yesterday (May 26), was due to the fire at Wisma Bapa Malaysia’s server room yesterday.
Meanwhile, Sarawak Information Systems (SAINS) Sdn. Bhd. in a statement confirmed that a small fire broke out at the battery room of its office on the third floor of Wisma Bapa Malaysia around 7:15pm yesterday.
It said the fire has been put out by the fire and rescue department (BOMBA), while Incident Response and Disaster Recovery have been initiated to ensure that critical services remain available.
“The impact of the incident is being assessed, and the source of fire is under investigation. We apologize for any inconvenience arising from this incident.”
Apart from that, dBazzar in its Facebook page announced that its service is temporarily unavailable until further notice due to the fire incident.
