Photography ‘WINGED BEAUTIES, LIGHT AND DARK’ EXHIBITION’ is now open for public viewing until 15th February. Entrance to the exhibition is free.

KUCHING: Sarawak State Library is inviting all photography enthusiasts and members of the public to come and visit the ‘Winged Beauties, Light and Dark’ exhibition by two professional photographers, Nur Azimah Theresa and Timothy Duesbury.

Public viewing of the exhibition is until 15th February 2018 from 10.00 am until 7:00 pm ( weekdays ) and 9:00 am until 6.00 pm ( weekends ) and closed on gazetted Public Holidays. It will take place at the library’s Anjung Budi, Level 1, Pustaka Negeri Sarawak. The exhibition will display the world of photography and stunning images of wildlife and nature.

Nur Azimah Theresa Abdullah is a photographer who took up photography as a hobby give years ago. Her area of interest is nature and wildlife photography, with a particular fondness of birds and spent much of her time in West Malaysia for last two years photographing birds. She also has had birding experience in the UK.

In this exhibition she would like to share the images of the winged beauties she had collected from East and West Malaysia as well as parts of the UK such as England and Scotland. Meanwhile, Timothy Duesbury is an experienced photographer who was born on the outskirts of the small city of Norwich, England.

He will exhibit his photographs that reflect his origins and nature. According to Tim, he is also interested in light and darkness and how it affects what we are viewing. He has emphasised this aspect by giving some of his pictures a black border. He will also exhibit his photographs collection of the special view of Mount Santubong and some photographs of people he met during his visit in India.
