KUCHING: The service counter at the Rural Water Supply Department headquarters for matters pertaining to official documentation will start operating today (Tuesday).
The department said that the service counter would open from 8am to 1pm on Monday to Thursday and from 8am to 11.45am on Friday.
“The service counter is closed on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. However, members of the public who do not have any important and urgent matters are advised not to visit the premises.
“They are encouraged to contact our call centre (082-262211) or headquarters (082-26300) instead,” it added in a statement yesterday.
The department also announced that the operation of all its customer service counters had been suspended until further notice.
“The decision was made in line with the extension of the movement control order (MCO) as announced by the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).
“Customers are advised to pay bills online. They may contact our call centre for any important or urgent inquiries,” it said.
The department added all its water treatment plants and booster pump stations throughout Sarawak were operating as usual.
It said any inquiries, feedbacks and complaints of faulty or leaky pipes could be directed to its call centre.
