“This building will cater to all with special needs, especially those who are truly dependent on caretakers.
“When their caretaker pass away, a place like Enabling Village is a great one for them to spend their lives and be taken care of, most importantly.

On another note, Fatimah said a discussion will be held among the staff, teachers and caretakers on the special needs children and adults.
“We need to hear all kinds of perspective especially from relevant groups before we come to a decision regarding the village.
“Once we get their opinions, we will will know how we can move forward regarding the village,” she added.
On her visit, Fatimah said as of October 31, PERKATA had a total of 81 students aged 4 to 17.
“PERKATA also has around 20 academic staff and seven non-academic staff, and generally speaking PERKATA has a great reputation in providing the special needs children continuous training and education.
“The PERKATA Sarawak Committee Board is always hard at work to ensure every of its students succeeds at school just like how it was intended,” she added.
