MIRI: Some 400 people took part in the inaugural Baram Sport Carnival (KASUBAR) 2022, which was held from Friday till yesterday at various locations in this division.

Organising chairman of KASUBAR, Stephen Avun Jau, who is also the Progressive Democratic Party Mulu youth chief, said four sports were involved during the carnival.

“We have takraw (for the Datu Dr Penguang Manggil’s cup) in Beluru, Bakong; futsal (Men’s and Women’s categories for the Anyie Ngau’s challenge trophy); Dato Gerawat Gala’s challenge trophy for golf competition; and Dennis Ngau’s Cup in badminton tournament,” he said.
