KUCHING: The season of joy has come to brighten up the children from Rumah Kanak-Kanak Toh Puan Hajah Norkiah.
The Christmas dinner programme organised by Kuching Love Book Association not only brought smiles to the children here but also magic, love, and togetherness with them.
As Christmas is known as a time of miracle, Kuching South City Council mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng said that there is no better way to celebrate this magical season than with the pure-hearted souls – the children.
“Their innocence, their laughter, and their boundless enthusiasm remind us of the true meaning of Christmas.
“To our incredible children, whose lives have been a journey of unimaginable challenges and breath-taking courage, I stand here in awe of your bravery and unwavering spirit.
“Know that within these walls, within this community, you are enveloped in a tapestry of love, support, and unwavering care,” he said during the dinner that was held at Rumah Kanak-Kanak Toh Puan Hajah Norkiah here on Wednesday.
Having said that, he thanked the caregivers, volunteers, and staff for their tireless dedication and unconditional love bestowed upon the children as it is the bedrock of their transformation.
“Your selfless efforts form the foundation upon which our children bloom and thrive. May this festive celebration be a testament to our shared commitment – a pledge to create a world where every child feels safe, heard, and valued.
“Let us continue to nurture a community where every child is empowered to dream, to learn, and to embrace a future brimming with possibilities.
“May this Holiday Season be a beacon of hope, joy, and love. Together, let us create a world where the laughter of our children echoes across every corner, a world where their dreams are cherished and nurtured,” he said.
