KAPIT: State Secretary Datuk Amar Jaul Samion chaired a briefing session for all heads of state departments and agencies at the State Office Complex here recently.
“This is part of my regular visits to the Divisional and District Offices to meet the officers on the ground to understand the issues and problems they encountered in our efforts to improve the delivery system to the people,” he told the press.
Kapit Resident Nyurak Keti gave a development briefing on projects in Kapit.
He highlighted the implementation and challenges in the course of the implementation of the projects.
Among the pressing issues he raised were the shortage of manpower to implement and supervise the projects. He pointed out that there were many vacancies in other departments such as the Land and Survey Department (L & S), Public Works Department (PWD) and Agriculture Department which had not been filled.

Later in the evening, Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing, his wife Puan Sri Corrine Masing and State Secretary Datuk Amar Jaul Samion attended a Chap Goh Mei celebration hosted by businessman Ling Hang Kee at his residence here.
