SIBU:  State Secretary Datuk Amar Jaul Samion paid a working visit to the Salim water treatment plant at the Sibu Water Board (SWB) on Tuesday (Sept 15).

Jaul, who was accompanied by Public Utilities Ministry permanent secretary and SWB chairman Datuk Alice Jawan, spent about an hour reviewing the water treatment process at the plant.

He was also briefed on the planning proposed extension of the treatment plant.

The project is expected to cost about RM300 million and will increase water capacity to meet the increasing needs of Sibu residents up to 2030.
