SIBU: Sarawak Society For The Blind (SSB) Sibu Division Branch has successfully held its 46th annual open house and food charity sales at its premises in Jalan Bukit Lima here.

The event was declared open by the branch honorary advisor, Datuk Ding Lian Cheong on Sunday.  Also present were SSB president, Datuk Dr Hsing Kwo Yuen, Sibu Municipal Council chairman, Cr Clarence Ting Ing Horth and organising chairlady, Datin Judy Lau Kung Ee.

Speaking at the event, Lau said the event is held annually to help raising funds to meet part of the cost of running the blind centre and for the running of other related activities.

“We thank all the donors, sponsors, supporters and participants for your kindness, co-operation and support.

“We hope that you will take time to walk around and to enjoy the different food on sale and to bring some of the delicious food back for your loved ones at home,” she enthused.
