KUALA LUMPUR: The Services Producer Price Index (SSPI) for the fourth quarter 2018 increased 0.6 percent to 109.2 points as compared to the same quarter in 2017.
In a statement today, the Department of Statistics Malaysia said SSPI for the fourth quarter 2018 increased 0.2 percent compared to the previous quarter.
It said main contributions for the fourth quarter increase came from accommodation and food & beverages services activities (+2.5 percent), education (+1.4 percent), arts, entertainment & recreation (+1.1 percent) and real estate activities (+0.7 percent).
“Professional, health and information & communication sub-sectors increased 0.4 percent respectively, while transportation sub-sector remain unchanged,” the statement said. –Bernama
