KUCHING: One Covid-19 person-under-investigation (PUI) has been identified among the members of St Joseph’s Private School.

The PUI, Thomas Huo, is the teacher training consultant for St Joseph’s Family of Schools and co-chairman of St Joseph’s Private Primary School.

According to a circular issued by the school, Huo was present at the school on July 7 for an inspection of the new school block.

There, he came in contact with an engineer from an engineering company who had tested positive for Covid-19 and is part of the new cluster of Covid-19 patients here.

“Huo is now under quarantine order from July 11 until July 25. The notice was served on Huo on July 12,” it said.

The school noted that Huo was scheduled for Covid-19 testing on Monday (July 13), adding that the test results would be updated.

A representative of the school, when contacted by New Sarawak Tribune on Monday, had not disclosed any information regarding the results of the test at press time.
