KUCHING: Stampin MP Chong Chieng Jen has given out financial aid from the Stampin Service Centre Tertiary Education Assistance Fund to eight deserving students Today.
The programme, started by the Democratic Action Party (DAP) Stampin Service Centre, aims to help students who are studying at colleges or universities.
“I’m using my parliamentary allocation for education, help students and improve their schools too.
“With this funding, I hope it’s easier for parents and will also encourage students to do better in their studies,” he said in a statement today (Sept 2).
To get this assistance, students need to show that their parents make less than RM7000 per month. They should also be studying for a diploma or a bachelor’s degree at a local college or university.
This program already assisted more than 300 students from different backgrounds, including different races and religions.
