BELURU: Sarawak state civil servants (PANS) appointed under the Contribution Based Positions (JBC) service scheme are now eligible to be considered for promotions.

State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki said that Sarawak civil servants under the JBC service scheme are eligible to enjoy promotions to broaden their career paths.

“The Sarawak government will ensure that all PANS employees get the same opportunities as housing loan eligibility in the future,” he said.

He said this when speaking during a work visit to the Beluru District office here yesterday.

Meanwhile, he also said that the Sarawak government would carry out work to repair facilities such as office buildings and government quarters within three or four years.

“This is for the comfort of the staff who work in the office and live in the quarters so that they can carry out their duties effectively,” he added.
