MIRI: The people here lauded the Sarawak government’s initiative of using a DA42-MPP aircraft to help the Forest Department protects and monitor the state’s forests and national parks.
Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg today launched the Sarawak Aerial Detection Unit (Sadu) here and unveiled its DA42M-MPP aircraft.
New Sarawak Tribune managed to talk to several members of the public at the launch to get their opinions on Sadu and the aircraft.

‘It’s a good initiative by the state government. The aircraft can help us to monitor our forests and curb illegal logging. The government is willing to spend millions of ringgit to acquire this asset. It shows its concern about the forests.”
