Kuching: The Sarawak Islamic Council (MIS) will hold State Level Dakwah Songs Festival (Festival Lagu-lagu Dakwah Peringkat Negeri Sarawak) for two days on this 20 and 21 October at the MIS Hall, here.
In conjuction with this event, MIS is calling for dakwah songs enthusiasts to’partake, adding that lucrative cash prizes await the winners.
According to a press statement yesterday the champion will take home a cash prize of RM8,000, trophy and certificate. First runner-up is to walk away with RM5,000 cash prize, trophy and certificate whereas the third-place winner will take home RM3,000 cash, trophy and certificate. A consolation prize winner takes home RM1,500 cash prize and a certificate each. There will be a prize of RM1,500 and certificate for the Best Lyricist whereas the Best Music award walks home with RM1,500 and a certificate too.
Entry is open to Malaysian citizens aged between 18 and 40 years old. Each entry must have at least two members/participants but not more than six to a group.
Entries must be received the latest on this 13 October (Friday). Regulations on songs for contest can be downloaded at official portal www.mis.sarawak.gov.my and www.jais.sarawak.gov.my.
